Bonding Hearts Coaching is a ministry 40-years-in-the-making, an unexpected calling, and a monument of God’s faithfulness and goodness.
In 2023, a 72-hour prayer and fast during Easter confirmed God’s calling for me to be an ambassador of Christ by seeking to bring reconciliation in both the vertical (with God) and horizontal (with people) dimensions. Though not knowing what would be next, I hesitantly stepped forward in obedience.
Long before Bonding Hearts Coaching existed, God was already at work in my life––laying the foundation for this ministry by refining this cracked pot. As Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness training to be a shepherd, the Lord has used my 40 years in Blacksburg, VA as the training ground to shape me into the vessel suitable for His use. God walked with me through numerous peaks and valleys: two graduate degrees (Masters in Family Studies and EdD in Counselor Education), 30 years of church planting, and 25 years of homeschooling three children. These experiences build a firm foundation for this ministry. My four years of work for Connected Families and completion of their parent coaching training became the cherry on the top of this journey.
I especially have a burden for the Chinese parents, the missionaries, and the young LGBTQ+ Asians. The Lord has opened doors for me to interact with these groups and listen to their stories and struggles. It breaks my heart to see these people who love fiercely, yet no longer know how to connect with their loved ones. I hope to change and reconnect hearts by mending what's frayed and rebuilding trust where it's been lost, with wisdom, grace, and truth. Through Bonding Hearts Coaching, I desire to reach this goal through one-on-one coaching, small groups, and seminars/workshops. At the center of it all is a belief in reconciliation — that broken or strained relationships aren't beyond repair, and that restoring them is worth the hard, honest work it takes.
