Joy in the Morning is a faith-based non-profit ministry that seeks to support single moms through financial support and gift giving. This ministry was birthed out of my own personal struggle as a single mother. In 2014 God planted a seed in my heart to help other struggling single mothers like myself; powered by the scripture from Psalms 30:5B - Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

This was a key scripture to help build vision on as well as transform my mindset from victim to victor. During my single mom journey God empowered me with supportive women that carried me through tough times and then helped to encourage me to acquire the necessary tools to move forward in my life. This support changed my life and moved me to do the same for others.

Mission – To support struggling single mothers through prayer, love, and financial support. Empowering them with new ways of thinking through access to new tools and resources.

James 1:27 - Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the father is this; To visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

I believe single moms are modern day widows and their children  orphaned by broken relationships.  

Vision – I envision Joy in the Morning as a resource center for personal growth for single mothers and their children. One day I would like to provide daycare vouchers, professional counseling services as well as career development.  

Proverbs 29:18 - Without a vision people perish.

Goals – Currently, I am working on website development, creating a prayer team, starting a single mom support group with quarterly meetings, networking with other resources in my local area, creating administration forms, fundraising & of course giving opportunities.
