About two years have elapsed since our initial statement.  In addition to several projects in Sulawesi that are now ongoing we have opened projects in Maluku and Kalimantan.  I am thankful to be able to say that God has provided every step of the way.  I can honestly affirm the faithfulness the phrase in the Lord’s prayer that says “Give us our daily bread” but in Indonesian says, “Give us enough” (secukupnia).   Secukupnia has become one of my favorite words in Indonesian- it speaks to God’s faithfulness.  In response we do our best to give our undivided faithfulness.

In addition to the direct language translation projects mentioned initially we have also by faith taken on the task of translating a simple to translate version of the Bible into Bahasa Indonesian from the Honey Bee Oral Bible Translation project app. This will become the platform for translation projects into tribal languages. Thank God for a faithful team of translators that is working with us every day.

Additionally, I have volunteered to teach in a new, small, conservative, interdenominational theological school (Sekola Tinggi Teologi Sehati) in N E Kalimantan.  This school focuses on tribal youth that have finished High School and are dedicated to the ministry.  I will be volunteer teaching English as a second language and hands on translation and recording of Bible Stories on the Story Publisher App.   Besides recording directly into several Bibleless languages our prayer is that graduates will be called to become a new breed of technical missionaries that will go to other tribes or move on to Bible translation on the Honey Bee app. We already have interest in the training from contacts on other islands.

More details about the STT Sehati and it’s needs are on the Map Global web page with provision to give directly to the project.  Map Global is partnering with STT Sehati in this ongoing venture. There is a backlog of applicants who are waiting, either for money to cover tuition or rooms in the limited dormitory space.
